one more day in the didn't rain column

This was another dry and hot day with no rain. Supposedly Dallas is having flash floods. There is some big storm moving through there now. Doesn't look like any kind of rain near us. I didn't really check for afternoon thundershowers so I don't know if we miss one or there were any. Friday is still showing a decent chance of rain. The forecast shows that after tomorrow we can expect a good run of more moderate temperature and cooler nights. Right now the nights are still relatively hot. The forecast looks like we might get some chilly nights in the not to distant future. Would be a welcome change. Might even be cool enough to spend some time in the shop. Probably use that time to clean it up and get it back in shape to do some projects. The start of wood working season will be here soon.

I have one new friend on Facebook. One I extended an offer to probably well over a year ago and she finally accepted about two days ago. I think like probably more than just a few people they have a Facebook page but rarely if ever check it.

Did start and drive the truck today. Forgot to notice the time when I first got in so I probably ran it extra time today. I usually drive and idle it for about 15 minutes. Slowly drawing the old fuel down and will try to add some fresh and just keep starting and running it. Just putting in enough gas to do that and try to keep it fresh.

Twist was a very short term lap cat today. Just kind of curled up and then left. But it does count as a lap cat. Fozzy has been kind of absent the last few nights. Maybe tonight he will claim a spot in lap cat. Did make an incense burn today. Was Jasmine I think.

Finished cleaning up the kitchen tonight and ran the dishwasher. Put a load of t-shirts into the washing machine too. Nothing really in the way of project work today. I did finally finish the battery charge today and put the batteries in the battery box. Expecting some project time material in probably this week. Still waiting on my soap making supplies too. Should be here soon.

Today was an eBay day. Kind of a surprise one because the item kind of fell off tracking and then just showed up. That does happen. Still have a few more items from eBay to make it here. Still waiting on my printer ink but should be here soon.

Bright full moon tonight. Actually in this time zone the moon isn't really full until after midnight. But close enough. Low clouds tonight but I think the moon wasn't behind any when I saw it. Quiet out tonight too. Some wind in the trees and the geckos chirping but the crickets are no where to be heard. Don't know what happened to them.

Got two junk calls tonight. Well, maybe just 1 and a half. One of them hung up. I guess it didn't make the connection in time.

Got two yesterday also.

My HEB delivery order is scheduled for Thursday. Checked to see if they had something that I got two orders ago but they don't. Did add one item. Still have tomorrow to think of and add items if I need to.

Both Gold and silver are pretty much staying in a trading range. Have been there for several days now. Gold had such a rapid rise and now it seems to have leveled off trading below $2000 an ounce and above $1900 and ounce.

The next launch of the Falcon 9 is set for September 3rd. It will be a Starlink mission. Don't seem much of anything in specific dates after that but it does look like a busy month. I thought that maybe the Starship might try another hop today but haven't seen anything of it. The Everyday Astronaut tries to cover those.

My coin dealer does have one type of platinum coin available. Kind of surprised that they have any. My guess is that it won't last long.
