Didn't get any rain today but looking at the radar it looks like the panhandle is getting their fair share and maybe a bit more. Sunday looks like it holds some promise for rain and then a few days next week but it looks like we are in a dry pattern for awhile. Got almost 5 inches of rain in the last wet spell. I hope we continue to get timely rain fall. I do have a new hose and a very old sprinkler but it still works. Just the one though and have to move it often to get good coverage.

We have a disturbance in the Atlantic shown on the National Hurricane Center's map to be far enough south as to potentially come into the Gulf They think though that conditions are good for it to develop much. As always just have to keep an eye on it.

Finally did get to watch another Falcon 9 launch last night. Just shortly after midnight. It had been postpone for so long I thought this one might be too. But it launched right on schedule. And a night launch at that. Everything went perfectly. Didn't follow it long enough to see if the satellites got deployed right but I assume they did. And the first stage one again stuck the landing on their drone ship. They make it look so easy. Everything went right in an industry where everything has to go right to work. Nothing much on the launch schedule for another week or so. Always look forward to seeing a launch. Looking at the launch schedule nothing much in the way of firm dates for launches.

Gold dipped back towards $2000 an ounce today. Had previously gotten close to $2100 and ounce. Crude is just holding a pretty steady price. Not really much movement at all during trading. I haven't seen any change in gas prices for the few stations that I happen by and check the price.

No project work today but it was an eBay day. Still have a couple of more items waiting out there to make it an eBay day. And I usually find something I need to keep having eBay day. So nice to be able to find such a wide selections of usual and unusual items.

Can't really hear anything outside tonight but I never can hear the crickets though the windows or doors. I am sure they are out there making noise as usual. Not hearing any chirping though. Some nights it is quite loud but nights like tonight I don't hear it at all. Don't really know why it works that way. Didn't see the moon tonight. Several days now since it was full.

Not a lap cat day today although Fozzy may still join me later tonight. Didn't burn any incense today. Probably have to start another HEB Delivery order on Sunday.

Got to check the Saharan dust cloud. Haven't done that in a day or so. According to the simulation it looks like we have a chance of more dust covering us coming up on Sunday. Still plenty of dust out there so I will continue to watch it.

The yard already looks like it needs to be mowed again and it is only Friday and they come late on Tuesday. Gary got a bid to clear his land in Dallas including cutting brush and removing a few downed trees for $6500. For something like that I say it is worth paying someone else to do it. They will grind everything up and haul it away.

Thinking about getting a mobile car wash out to wash my car. Maybe a wax too.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
