Yesterday rain but nothing today.
Jul. 18th, 2020 10:39 pmI don't think we got any rain today at all. May have been a sprinkle or two but certainly didn't notice it. Didn't have a very high chance of rain today. We do have a reasonable chance of thundershowers in the evening. Next week looks pretty solid for rain though. I can probably hold off from watering just a little longer if the rain develops. Say some scattered shower and it looks like the panhandle maybe getting some rain at the moment. But nothing here. Would certainly like to see that change over the next few days.
Nothing much has changed on the National Hurricane Center's map. Been that way for the last several days. As always in this area have to be aware of anything developing. It does look like we are still covered with Saharan dust though. It does look like it is going to move out at least for awhile tomorrow and leave us with mostly dust free skies. And maybe for the next few days but it does look like more is on the way. Not all bad because the dust help stop storms from developing. Maybe as long as it continues we might not get any storms or weaker storms.
I can only see the close for yesterday for both gold and crude so I guess nothing has changed. Probably has on other exchanges but I only have the one. I did run an errand today and remembered to look at gas prices. It has been a while since I have seen them. One station had $1.78 and another had $1.79. Not much of a spread in gas prices. I guess as long as crude stays about where it is probably won't see much change in prices. Maybe a little up or down. Just have to think that will all the electric cars on the road it is having some minor impact on gas prices. Really though electric cars are still a small fraction of cars on the road. And if we do get a storm I will need gas for my new inverter type generator.
Tomorrow is LOL cats so I'v got to look at that.
Played around some with Rooms on Facebook. Know a bit more about them but never actually been in one other than the one I created as a test. So don't really know all the requirements. Seems like you need a webcam and a microphone though both of which I don't have on my desktop.
Two rocket launches are still scheduled for tomorrow. One still shows the time as to be determined and the other one is between 5:00 and 8:55 pm Eastern Daylight Time. I hope at least one launches tomorrow. It has been a while since I have seen one launch.
Cleaned up the kitchen some. Still have a little more work to do there. Need to do some vacuuming too. Only rearranged some projects so can't really call that work but did decide to order the part I needed for a project from eBay instead of just using what I had on hand to make something work. And today was not an eBay day. Kind of rare but I do have those.
Fozzy was a last minute lap cat. Stayed for a while and snuggled up nicely.
I just noticed through Google that there might be a second stimulus check. Tax season is over and income tax was due on July 15th year. Well, at least based on that date I got my taxes in early. Usually wait until the last minute to file.
Did just take a quick peek at the Galveston Live Cams.
I am hoping one of the launches goes off tomorrow. Looking forward to watching one. Seems like there was plenty of traffic out today during my errand. Looks like normal. I guess rush hour has picked up too.
Forgot to post this last night.
So that is going to do it for this one.
