Maybe rain tomorrow but none today.
Jul. 6th, 2020 10:05 pmNot here no rain but I could see on the radar that it looked like patches of rain got close. I think Gary got some but he didn't text about it. Looks like the rain is going to happen before noon tomorrow and a little while after. Looks like the best chance we have had in a bit. Maybe tomorrow I can report the rain fall in my rain gauge.
Still the same things hanging around on the National Hurricane's Center's map. The orange thing has now moved over land. They show it is going to move off shore again. I can certainly see some rain from that system on radar. Don't know about the one disturbance. Still worth watching I think.
I did some layout work on my light sequencer and actually did some construction. Not much. I don't think I have the right wire to go much further so I think it is going to be eBay to the rescue. And it was an eBay day today. Nothing too unusual about that. Seems common enough now.
My new inverter type generator is somewhere in transit. Suppose to get here on the 8th of July. Kind of excited to get it although about all I am going to do is stage it somewhere. But I will have it plus the old generator just in case they are needed for another loss of power. Kind of rare out here at least under normal circumstances. I believe it can handle just about any appliance I have but probably only one at a time. Like running the washing machine.
Got my income tax mailed some time ago. The deadline was moved to July 12. I think. But mine is mailed. Still checking on my pay day. Just get it when I get it. Paid a bill today. Trying to keep those done.
Still getting phone surveys on the run off election. In early voting at the moment but I voted by mail. Nice to have that option.
I selected Lavender for the incense of the day. Just kind of felt right. So I did.
No lap cat participants today but not over yet. Fozzy last night was a late entrant.
Watched "The Wall" again tonight. About the only game show I have watched in ages. And I watched The History Detectives on PBS today.
Tomorrow is the scheduled HEB delivery. Got to be ready for it. Did think of a couple of items to add. Just two. Still have tonight to think about it.
Did take a peek at the Galveston cam.
My recycle bin is full. So definitely it will get set out this week. And have some left over. Might have another bin ready the following week.
The next launch of the Falcon 9 is scheduled for July 8th. Should be this Wednesday. Going to watch hopefully. Keep reminding myself so I hope I can remember.
I think crude may have set a new recent high. Looking at it I see that it can't be by much but still a possible new recent high. Gold seems to be teasing the $1800 mark but still not there. Thinking I might buy some platinum. Going to think about it a good bit more.
Quiet tonight too. Usually at least the odd firework. No planes to be heard coming or going.
Going to be a trash pickup this Wednesday after none on the 4th. Probably a lot. Might put mine out too.
No lawn company today. Not that unusual that they don't come on Monday. Happens occasionally.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
