Jul. 4th, 2020

Today is the 4th and plenty of fireworks going off outside. Even read and heard that fireworks sales were pretty good this year. No rain but as usual the radar did show parts that were getting rain. We just didn't happen to be one of them. I suppose there is still the Saharan dust somewhere as it just doesn't disappear but I haven't seen or really looked for any updates on it. The rain chance for Monday is up and down. So don't really know what to expect. Looks like a pretty solid chance of rain on Tuesday. So maybe my rain gauge will get put to the test.

Something has formed of off the southern coast of Florida. Calling it a disturbance but shows to move across Florida. And there is tropical depression Five out in the Atlantic. Maybe the season is starting up again. Maybe the dust was stopping it for a while.

Watched the Rocket Labs launch of their Electron Rocket. Always fun to watch them launch. The next Falcon 9 launch is scheduled for July 8th. Another Star link mission.

Still lots of fireworks going on outside. I did my little show and it worked pretty good. Used up all of my contact igniters. Fun just to watch them light at the push of a button from inside. Still have plenty of sparklers left though. I got some kind of deal on a bunch of sparklers. Not sure why now but I got a lot of them and bunch for free. Been using them ever since. Still have two sparklers left on it so I will fire those before going to bed. Really Really smoky outside. Some big booms too. Since it is Saturday night probably going to go on for awhile. Don't think it matters they always seem to go on.

Talked to Steve today. And Mary, Kevin, Steve and Beth called to wish me happy 4th. Nice to hear from them.

Twist did a lap cat today and proceeded to take a nap as long as he could but was disturbed by fireworks.

No incense today. Actually watched some golf today.

Saw one gas price today. $1.82 a gallon. Crude may have just passed its recent high. Kind of hard to tell. The chart I follow only gives like the close or open. Don't know.

Well, no recycle pick up today as I suspect might be the case. Checked their website and sure enough they don't pick up on the 4th of July. So I had to bring my recyclables back inside. Going to have quite an overflowing bin next week.

Ordered some stuff to create a new battery pack for a project and kind of cancelled another project mainly because of the stuff I order will do a better job.

Still tracking my new generator. Supposed to be here next week. Coming from a long way away but got really good ratings. Hopefully I won't need it but will be prepared just in case. Can run just about anything. Can't really recharge my batteries though because those are a 24 volt system.

Still plenty of fireworks going off outside. Hard to say if it has slowed. Don't think it has.

Got a HEB delivery coming on Tuesday. Still haven't thought of any items to add. Got another two days to think about it though. Can usually think of a couple of more items.

Tomorrow is LOL cats.

Still hearing fireworks. Does sound like it has slowed and they don't sound as close.

Text with Gary.

Holiday today so no deliveries.

In addition to the fireworks tonight there is going to be a partial lunar eclipse. Not a full eclipse but a partial one. And tomorrow is going to be a full moon.

And I think that is going to do it for tonight.
