Rain for today.
Jun. 20th, 2020 10:17 pmGot a nice heavy rain today although not a terrible long rain in the afternoon. Must have been about an hour or so but it more than did its job of watering the lawn. This morning on first glance I though we just got a heavy due but evidently it did rain. More rain in tomorrows forecast at least by more than decent chance according to the Weather Channel. However on Wednesday they say there is a 100% chance of rain. I guess they really mean it. Just that one little disturbance off the coast of some state along the Atlantic coast and they say it is moving off to the north east.
Twist made good solid use of my lap today. I think about three times include one long stay in my computer room lap. Doesn't do that too often. Fozzy does it too sometimes.
Got the car on charge tonight. Usually like to wait until it is down to about half full before charging again and now it is only set to charge to 90%. Supposed to be good for the batteries not to fully charge them. I suspect for me it really isn't going to be noticeable.
Got crazy with incense today and burned two. Well, that really isn't going crazy but I mostly only burn one a day. They were Dragon's Blood and Jasmine. No Vanilla today although I might tomorrow. Don't really know until I decide I need to burn incense.
Still entertaining myself by watching live cams down in Galveston. Seems busy. Never really been to Galveston outside of going to the Mardi Gras there I think once or maybe twice. It was a long time ago.
I did remember to put out my recycle bin yesterday. Was full of plastic and metal cans. Brought the bin back to the porch but haven't brought it inside yet.
Long text exchange with Gary today. The usual stuff.
No project work today. Going to wait on my one eBay purchase to work on that one project again.
Did a load of whites today and got them all dry in the dryer. Still need to fold and put away. Just the normal house hold chores. And did a little vacuuming today. Not much. Making good use of my solar system. One is tied into a dehumidifier that makes condensate for me. Actually pretty nasty stuff and you never want to drink it. I boil it and then use it to make spray cleaners. Kind of like distilled water. The other system runs all my entertainment items. Seems to handle the load nicely.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science is holding another auction so I found another item to bid on. Already outbid once so I bid again. Don't know about raising it any more though. Nice item so we will see. Bidding closes on June 24 at 9:00 so we still have a lot of time yet.
I caught an episode of Ask This Old House today that I hadn't seen. Just must have missed it. The show is in summer reruns.
Still adding channels to my YouTube watching. Some really good content.
Today was the first day of summer.
I think fireworks sales start on the 24 so that would be the Wednesday. Looks like that is right. The Fourth is on a Saturday so might be a long night of fireworks.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
