Heavy rain today.
May. 27th, 2020 10:22 pmWe got some heavy rain today and looking at the radar round two is on the way and should be here just right about now. Radar showing a light rain but it probably isn't reaching the ground but heavier rain is behind it.
The Houston Museum of Natural Science on line auction closed tonight and I won my item by being really the only person to place a bid. I think it is a really nice item and by at least by my short Google research a famous designer. I have already paid for it and the museum will ship it to me.
My silver coins for my collection should reach this town's post office by morning and be delivered. I just have to go out and get the mail. I don't do that every day now. looking forward to seeing them. Always a bit of fun to see what they look like. And silver is really amazing cheap especially when it use to always trade at 32 to one against gold.
I had a service come by and spray my yard for mosquitoes. I really couldn't open the doors without letting a few in every time I did. So hopefully this will take care of that problem. And it is a continuing service. Once a month or so and they will repeat a treatment if I see mosquitoes between scheduled services.
No winner in the lap cat contest today. Occasionally it goes like that although Fozzy did curl up in my arms during today's thunder storms. Twist doesn't seem to be as Afraid of the thunder as Fozzy but he is terrified of the lawn service company. the mower probably sound too much like vacuum cleaners.
Radar shows a narrow band of heavier showers on the way. Supposedly it is raining outside now at least according to the radar but I don't see anything. Radar does that.
No incense burning today. I just can't seem to remember to do that. And I bought strike anywhere matches some time ago. I didn't think they still made those. That is what I now have to light my incense sticks. I could just light them on the gas range and it has spark ignition. The first house I had with a gas range was just manual light. The second house I had actually had a standing pilot for the stove. So there was one little dome area that was always hot. This house has a spark igniter for the gas range. My parents home had an electric range. I can remember dad always making boiled chicken. That was his thing to cook.
As usually talked to Gary on Google hangs outs. Usually about the weather or work. Tonight they went out to eat at Fudruckers.
I did remember to watch the launch of SpaceX only to see it scrubbed with just under 17 minutes left in the count down. Bad weather. Something about electricity in the clouds. I have a concept of it but don't really understand it. Gary did and explained it. They do have safety rules to follow and some of them were being violated by the weather. Always need to stay safe. They will try again on Saturday and now I just have to remember to watch it again.
Tomorrow is my HEB delivery. If I remember right it is between 1:00 and 2:00 but I probably don't remember right. They will let me know. Can't think of any more items to add tonight. Don't really need to panic adding items because second or third day delivery is now no problem.
Usually Nova is tonight's viewing pleasure but I don't know if it was on tonight. I have been watching some over the air TV to catch some of the local news. And still watching The Last Kingdom. My next Netflix DVD should arrive Friday. I am hoping we get another free premium channel preview again. They seem to be happening regularly.
