Looks like no rain tomorrow.
May. 22nd, 2020 10:55 pmThe rain chance for Saturday has dropped again. Doesn't look like rain tomorrow however it does look like rain is still on from about Sunday through all of next week. Probably going to be a wet Memorial Day holiday. Hopefully not a repeat of the Memorial Day Floods of not too long ago. Well, not too recent but still fresh in everyone's mind. Buffalo Bayou has been widened and a number of the home that did flood have been raised. Can't be cheap to do that.
Put out my recyclables tonight. Early for me as I usually do that Saturday morning. Just a load of plastics. Still have a load of paper to go too but the bin is already full.
Today's lap cat participant was Twist with a very brief stay by Fozzy. Didn't burn an incense stick today because basically I forgot and when I remembered I figures it was just too late.
I had a revelation today about my Windows Seven machine. I had an extra hard drive in addition to the one that has Windows Seven on it so I just decided to convert the machine to Linux Mint. I don't want to connect to the internet with a version of windows that isn't supported any more. So the extra hard drive was converted to run Linux Mint. Not a difficult process at all and it runs great. So I guess I can get a few more miles out of that machine. Not exactly young but works fine. I didn't think that machine had Wi-Fi but it does. I thought I had to add an external Wi-Fi connection.
Today was cheese sandwich day and I kept with the tradition. Mom always made them with white bread but I use whole wheat. Taste just as good as the classic. I do miss that. Coming in from the Junior College on Friday to have cheese Sandwiches with mom.
Text from Gary on Google Messenger. Gary thinks they may have relocated some people from another office there. Well, not physically I don't think but just assigned them an office. Don't really know what is going on at work anymore. I just get the usually HR emails about up coming events like town halls and not much else. Today was supposedly a short day at work. I think everyone is working the four 9 and a 4 so Fridays are a short day.
Tomorrows viewing pleasure is going to be This Old House and Ask This Old House. I think there is one more episode left for both of these before they go into reruns. I saw a place where you could stream continuously the last 41 years of This Old House. Didn't know they had been on that long but was thinking close to that.
No packages today or mail for that matter.
Mailed back Frozen II. Got to add some more movies to my Netflix list. I know it is down to just one or two remaining.
Decided to update my collection of Silver Coins. Haven't kept up with the dates.
I think I am all caught up on bills. Well, I need to send in my renewal for AARP.
I think that should do it for tonight.
