We did get some rain today but looking at the radar it looked like the showers were highly localized like right over us for the most part. Weather for tomorrow shows a good chance of scattered thundershowers. Even higher on Saturday and Sunday.

My VCR has sat forever. I don't know when the last time it actually played a tape. I thought I would move it today and definitely heard things moving around inside of it. I am sure it isn't suppose to do that and it got worse. So I didn't try plugging it in but making noise from things moving around inside can't be a good sign. I decided that it is no longer working so I moved it to the scrape electronic pile. I guess it lived a good life. I know I watched many a tape on it.

No CAD work today but I did get a start on the U-joint. I needed to clear off space to make soap today so that model had to move. My soap is in the reactor. Needs to stay there for about 24 hours so sometime around noon or so I will know how this modified batch of my standard soap did. Actually I have to let it age for about three weeks before I really know.

Had my first make shift hamburger tonight. Fully cooked patty on whole wheat bread. No hamburger buns. Garnished with cheese and pickles with spicy brown mustard. No lettuce, onion or tomato because I didn't have those. Not quite a Whataburger but it will do. And so easy to cook. Just a two and a half minutes in a microwave. No mess. And just one dish to clean.

Still have an old XP computer and a Windows 7 machine. Going to pull what I want to keep off of those and let them join the electronic scrap pile. Windows 7 is no longer supported and certainly XP is no longer supported.

Going through my old files. Need to shred a few things.

One of these days I actually need to break out my welder and try something with it. Probably have to wait until fall though. Don't really have much metal to practice with.

External memory on computers has really changed. When we ran programs in high school we used punched cards. The machines were really cool. I see that IBM cards can be found on eBay although not exactly cheap. I don't know what we paid for them back then. I kind of think they were free. Must have used hundreds of them and just thrown them away. I remember buying IBM cards in college but don't remember the cost.

I folded laundry today but haven't put it up. I found a missing sock. I have so few pairs left since I don't need dress socks anymore that a loss of one is substantial.

No real viewing pleasure tonight as Nova is in reruns I think. Can't think of what I used to watch on Wednesday. I think Thursday were generally the off day for viewing pleasure. I did get an email notice that Frozen II is on its way. Probably be here Friday. Maybe another premium preview will happen.

Lap cat didn't happen today.

I suppose that is going to be it for tonight.
