Well, it didn't rain.
Apr. 23rd, 2020 12:05 amHad a fair chance to get rain today but nothing materialized. Just can't really predict the weather here. Next half way decent chance of rain is not until next week. And it is turning hot and humid. Might be a good thing. Will get warmer yet.
I wasn't quite as lazy today as I actually unloaded the dish washer and cleaned up the kitchen. I still have a load of shirts in the washing machine I need to run through. Mom would buy me shirts from a local apparel store there when they were on sale and send them to me. I don't really think I have bought more that five shirts. Bealls bought the family owned business.
Probably officially too hot to work in the shop other than for short periods of time. Still can do a few projects that don't take much shop work. Have to wait until next season.
I am thinking about signing up for CBS all access mostly so I can watch the new Star Trek episodes. Probably saving enough in just Starbucks coffee to more than cover the cost. Certainly saving more than that in fast food.
TruGreen treated my lawn to day for pest. Mostly fire ants. Whatever they use it does a good job. I used to go through a lot of Amdro to control them.
Watched a rerun of the SpaceX launch today to put more Starlink satellites in orbit. Was always fascinated by that. Should check into this Starlink Internet service. Wonder if there are going to be pauses.
I remember being in Saudi and all the phone calls were handled by geosynchronous satellites. No one uses those any more. The phone call had to go up 25,000 miles come back 25,000 more miles before it got to the other end. And the same for the reply. Even with the speed of light there was a definite pause. These are only suppose to orbit at 500 miles so probably not a issue.
The crude market is recovering. Still really low.
I watched a couple of episodes of Moon Shiners today. I have the whole season recorded. Need to catch up. I also have the whole season of Vikings, Van Helsing and Project blue book recorded. Will definitely help. Maybe I will go back and watch all of The Hundred since it is on NetFlix.
I do miss getting a good salad. HEB made about the best. And the ones from Costco were good. Don't know if Sweet Tomato has anything like take out. Not sure how it would work.
Just checked. No take out from there. I don't think HEB offers them for curbside. I don't want to go in.
I don't see much of any memes on toilet paper any more.
That is going to be it for tonight. Should be enough.
