No rain for a cloudy day.
Nov. 4th, 2021 10:04 pmToday was a lot different that yesterday. Rain was forecast for early this morning but looking outside this morning it doesn't look like we got any additional rain. So today was cloudy all day and past being cool outside but not really cold. Did try to work in the shop this morning but I could feel the cold in my hands and I don't like working in the shop when my hands feel that way. But I did work in the shop this evening and it wasn't bad. Still a bit cool but my hands felt fine. Really doesn't look like any chance of rain other than a few days with just about an average chance of rain for the remainder of the forecast. Going to get cold tonight and for the next few nights. Seems like winter may have gotten here early. Right now my outside temperature gauge says it is about 58°F with 75% humidity. Officially at the airport it is 56°F with 74% humidity.
I didn't get anything in today but I did get a wine shipment in for Mary. Probably take that to her tomorrow. Thinking I might get a shipment of wood in tomorrow. Timely as I am just about at the stage that I need it. I did get an interesting catalog in today. Unusual scientific items for sale. Looked through part of the catalog. Interesting items and maybe one or two I am tempted by but not enough.
Just hoping my refrigerator makes it until next Tuesday. Making a lot of noise and then settles down. Current refrigerator is 18 cubic feet. New one is over 27 cubic feet. More space to fill with frozen food hopefully. Maybe not have to worry about buying too much. Slowing reducing the volume so maybe I can get most of it in my emergency refrigerator if my old one doesn't make it. Will be sad to see it go though. Been working well for so long.
Todays incense was Black Cherry.
No bills paid today.
Twist was a lap cat three times today. Working in my office and he kept getting into my lap. Tried to hold him as long as I could.
Went through all my mail today. Most into the recycle bin. Lots of Medicare stuff.
I did a load of T-shirts and got them hanging in the laundry closet. Put my tent up in the den instead of folding it up and putting it away. Just for fun.
Mounted a light chaser on PVC plate. Just have to connect it to the LED's now. Thought of a few more light projects I might try to build. Project work. Did organize my mad scientist table a bit also. I think I have figured out how to make my binary clock set itself to the right time and run from that point.
Did a little woodworking this evening. Worked on my second dust frame. Should finish it tomorrow.
Car is still out. Got a few things to sort in the shop and then put the car up. On charge at the moment. Should be close to fully charged. Found out that I could turn on the charge cord theft alert. Kind of a pain to have that on. The battery charge had been reset to 100%. Don't know what else was updated.
No further word on either car.
For viewing pleasure I finished one of my Netflix movies, started new one and watched more of Super Girl. Also YouTube videos. Got to check tonight since it is Thursday night to see if it is a premium channel free preview weekend. Usually forget though.
Maybe something to watch launch on Saturday. Falcon 9 Crew launch is soon after that.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Almost forgot about that.
Got my Aladdin lamp lit in my office. Keeping it nice but still on the cool side. Warm enough though. Had it on all day.
Gold is near the top of $1700 an ounce. Crude feel back again. Dropping. Might have to struggle now to make another 52 week high but still had really increase in price from a year ago.
No dessert today. I ate the rest of my Guacamole. Don't want that to go bad.
Thinking with the cold outside temperature I might play with my CNC router and see if I can get that working. Just going to test it without the router in place. Will work without it. Do the initial lay out on Visio.
Did Okay today with the depression. Not a really good day but a close to probably everyone else's normal. Had the usual depression in the morning. Not as bad though.
Hopefully no more for awhile. Just a chance to coast for awhile.
