The fourth day now. And no rain.
Aug. 24th, 2021 10:18 pmA bit of a dry spell. Might be the longest one we have had in a while. A dry hot spell. I think this has been the hottest it has been all summer. It looks like a decent chance of rain moves in for the next three days. Tomorrow is going to be hot but after that it looks like it is going to cool off a bit. Down to close to 90's. And even cooler to follow. Kind of looking like summer may be moderating a bit. But at the moment it is still warm out. My outside temperature gauge says it is about 87°F with 68% humidity. Didn't do anything in the shop except for the small little bit of trimming my tent pole extender. Still plenty warm and sweating in no time. Officially, tonight, checking in with the airport it is 84°F with 74% humidity. Not open window sleeping weather at all. Did see what looked like more scattered showers moving in from the coast on radar.
Started off my morning feeling my forever morning depression. Have to make it through my morning routine and wait and hope it subsides. Felt it a bit worse tonight. Just going to bed and let it take over. That is about all I can do. Got to finish my entry though.
Got two items in today. I think it was my clock kit but I haven't opened it. I think it was due in today and I got my Raspberry Pi 4 unit in from Best Buy. Came in a box bigger than I was expecting. Didn't order anything else today. So that takes care of two vendors. Still have the Dietz LED lantern to come in from Lehman's. Then a number of items still due from eBay. Checking with tracking it doesn't look like anything is coming in tomorrow. Probably not until Saturday.
Car is already in. Never got it out so I don't think I will go out for a drive tonight. Not really feeling it anyway.
Phone call from Gary. Nice long talk.

Pretty sure this mornings incense was Dragon's Blood. I seem to remember that one.
No bills paid today. Still have my car insurance to pay. Next week. Been an expensive month. Not cheep this week. Landscaping and frivolous purchases.
My lawn company came today. Fortunately they didn't mow over the new grass. Watered that again today. I am hoping the rain moves back in tomorrow and I won't have to water. Rain is better for the grass. Mostly looking like it is going to survive.
No lap cat yet. Fozzy did join me last night. Twist snuggled with me last night.
Several Youtube videos and my new Netflix series and continuing with The Manifest for viewing pleasure.
No dessert tonight. Had a slice of pecan pie for desert at lunch.
Gold dipped back into $1700 an ounce again. Crude seems to be making a come back. Now almost back to twice its 52 week low. Haven't seen any change in gas prices for a while.
Did a little work on my HEB order last night.
I guess last nights dreams would qualify as bad dreams. Not just the unwanted type that I get a lot of but really bad dreams.
Got my soap mixed tonight. Now into the "oven" to react for 24 hours. Then to slice and let it age for three weeks. Don't know when my soap supply order will get in. Will make a batch of hand soap when that gets in.
For housework today I sorted, folded and put away my load of whites. Ran the dishwasher today and put up the dishes tonight. Cleaned and organized my mad scientist table. Meant to do some vacuuming but didn't.
Just barely did any project work today. That was the main plan too. Got my 5 volt power supply mounted and started soldering the current limiting resistors to the LED. Got a few more of those to go. Still don't have the software working. Played with a Bluetooth Had a lot of static. Don't know why.
Just trimming my tent pole extender tonight. A little bit of wood working. Really want to get back to my electric tricycle. Need more supplies. Got to order. Other projects ahead of it though and it needs to really cool off in the shop before I can.
New Sheppard in two days. On the 26th. Then launches on the nest two days. Looking forward to it.
Still didn't check for the full moon. Forgot to do that last night. Not going out tonight. I think the mosquitos are out. Seeing lots of dragon flies during the day. Could hear the mosquito sprayer moving around last night.
Niece is a witch. So I charge my crystals during the full moon.
Might try to listen to some of her latest podcast. Tend to want to sleep though.
