A surprise brief rain.
Aug. 17th, 2021 10:17 pmGot a very brief rain. Kind of came out of nowhere and only rained for a few minutes but long enough and heavy enough to more than get everything wet. So continuing with the almost daily rains. Looks like decent chances for rain for the next two days. After that it looks pretty dry. After that is looks like some warmer weather too. It is still summer and it has been sort of a mild summer. Still warm and humid but not nearly as bad as some have been. Right now my outside temperature gauge says it is 85°F with 75% humidity. So a bit warmer outside tonight. Comparing with the official temperature at the airport which reports that it is 84°F with 76% humidity. Did only one small item in the shop today. Very warm and humid out there. Just a couple of minutes brings on heavy sweating.
Didn't get anything in today. Didn't see anything that looked promising based on the tracking. Might get two items in tomorrow. Tracking information can be a bit tricky though. I did order some more after meal snacks. The last order I placed for them was lost in the mail. Rarely happens. Hopefully this one will make it through.
The landscapers made it today. Didn't finish though. Probably will tomorrow. Did my part and paid them. The yard should look a lot better with all the bare spots covered with fresh grass. Good thing I didn't schedule the HEB Deliver today. Had to reschedule a lawn treatment that was scheduled for tomorrow. Probably finish tomorrow. Probably release my HEB Delivery order for Friday.
Paid the landscapers and my gas bill today.
This mornings incense was Lavender. Thinking that is right. Try to remember but I rarely do.
Watched my new Netflix series. And more episodes of the Flash. Has to be getting close to the end of the series. Haven't seen anymore Super Girl.
No lap cat tonight.
Been kind of moderately depressed most of the day. A little more tonight. Just get triggered sometimes by random thoughts.
Didn't do any housework today. Was going to put up the dishes but didn't do that.
Not really wood but I discovered I had a half inch drill and tap. So I tapped a hole in a thick piece of polyethylene sheet and tapped a half thread in it. Works great for a nut. Needed one for my inverter generator cart. This will work. Not much of any strain on it. Installed the hanger on my picture frame. Still need the glazier points to come in to finish it. Also took apart my mini table saw to see if I could adjust it. Nothing built in but I think I have fixed it with the addition of a couple of shims. Will put it back together and test it tomorrow.
No project work today. Did get a new piece of white board out to layout my binary clock. So no work really.
Gold made a good run towards $1800 an ounce but didn't quite make it. Crude dropped below twice its 52 week high. Don't know if I mentioned about ordering a American Eagle silver dollar.

Maybe on to watch launch on the 19th. Looks like a long dry spell after that.
Today is August 17th. September is really not that far away now. Kind of the unofficial end of summer.
Still the dreams. Think about September and going back to school. Seems odd now. So far away.
Already got the car put up. Went for a drive last night. A kind of short one. Just a loop. Don't think I am going out tonight. Ready to put another one in the books.
I think that is going to do it for this entry.
