Another day of rain.

Got plenty of rain today. Started sometime before noon. Not really paying that close of attention and seemed to last most of the evening. Don't know how much rain we got. Haven't checked my rain gauge. Been a very wet few days though. Having seen any mushrooms but I really haven't looked. With so much rain we should be getting some. The person that made the call to postpone the neighborhood gathering until next weekend made the right call. The rain chance for tomorrow is very high too. Probably going to put a damper on a lot of outdoor events. Don't know if Houston is planning to have their usual fireworks or not. A decent chance of thundershowers continues well into next week. Somewhat cooler tonight than last night. Outside temperature gauge is showing about 79°F with 100% humidity. Cooler but still a lot of humidity. Of course the official temperature at the airport has to be mentioned. So, right now it is 78°F with 93% humidity. Did manage some shop work. Not that warm but the humidity was high enough to make it uncomfortable but did manage a good bit of wood working.

No gold and crude report today. Not trading on Saturdays.

Didn't order anything else today but I did get my eight channel solid state relays in today. Was hoping my after meal snack would make it too but they didn't. Only have eBay items outstanding with the exception of my Museum of Natural Science auction win. Probably be in on Monday. Kind of anxious to see what it looks like. That will be my fourth Museum action win. Enjoy those but do probably overpay for the items. Just the thrill of winning I guess. Someone is going to get some nice gifts eventually.

Been depressed most of the day for various reason. Kind of been up and down all day. Bad at times. As always it seems ready to write this one into history and try again. Wish it wasn't so.

Tomorrow is LOL Cats day. Always, always look forward to seeing and reading that.

For viewing pleasure today I watched more YouTube videos, my Netflix series and NOVA. Going to slowly and probably slowly is an understatement catch up with all my TV viewing.

Twist was invited into my lap today for a pet session. Haven't had one of those with him in awhile. No real lap cat today though. Forgot the incense today. Need to do the truck start, run and drive tomorrow. Nothing new on my car. Keep checking to see if it was inspected but that hasn't happened yet.

Did my usually kitchen duty to keep it clean. Not much involved there. Probably need to run the dishwasher tomorrow.

No really project work today. I meant to work on the code for my push button radio but didn't.

Concentrated on wood working today. Built my very simple table saw. Got it about 85% finished. Don't really know if the motor is powerful enough to cut much of anything. It didn't work that well on the chop saw. Checked into just buying one but I thought I will give my home made one a try since I already had everything I needed to make it.

Paid my credit card bill today. My largest bill by far since just about everything gets charge to it. Shifted my utility bill back to paper. Thinking I didn't get my bill until it was already past the due date. Don't remember getting one. So going back to paper.

No junk calls today. Kind of rare to get them on Saturdays anyway.

Put my recyclables out this morning. They were picking up in the rain. Was pretty much full. Will bring it in from the porch tomorrow and start filling it again. Amazing how full it can get. Don't store my paper anymore. Just put it directly into the recycle bin. Always worried about it getting wet. Not the case anymore.

Nothing changed about launches. Nothing coming any time soon.

Had some ice cream for desert tonight.

Weird dreams last night. Not as bad but still unwanted. Wish I could get some nice one occasionally. Still coming to grip understanding that work is over and that I am retired. Never seems real.

Need to sort the shop and put up the car. Don't think I am going out for a drive.

Been hearing fireworks on and off.

Looks like the rain is going to end about early evening. Should be dry for fireworks tomorrow night. Might just drive over to the Kroger parking lot to see if there is the usual fireworks mischief. Surprised a lot of people don't get hurt.

Working on my HEB delivery order. Early start on this one. Probably won't release until the following week.

Going to pause in a bit and sort out the shop. Too early right now. Still don't think I will go out for a drive.

Time to take a break and straighten up my shop. Got that done but the car is still out.

Still don't think I am going to Kevin's and Mary's BBQ. Quite nervous about the whole thing.

Might go for a short drive. Time then to put another one in the books.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.
