On and off rain today.
Jun. 27th, 2021 10:16 pmWe seemed to have gotten several brief rains today. Nothing really heavy or lasting long but we did get some rain. The chance of rain for tomorrow is still really high. And way above normal for several days after that. With the forecasted temperature of only 82°F for a high tomorrow it is going to be positively cold for this time of year. Don't recall many days like this in June. Still looks like a lot of activity in this state but nothing really close now. Temperatures are going to be surprisingly low for the remainder of the forecast too. While the Pacific Northwest gets record high temperatures I wonder if we are getting record low temperatures. I will have to check the highs and lows. If I understand the table right we are a long way from record low but it looks like we are going to tie the record high for minimum. Not at all sure about that though. Right now it is about 80°F outside according to my gauge and 93% humidity. Not much in agreement with the airport tonight as it reports 83°F with 74% humidity.
Being Sunday and also being really rare so as expected I didn't get anything in today but I did add one item to my HEB Delivery order. Probably going to get two items in tomorrow. My bandsaw blades and my three color LEDs.
Got a call to go on a ten day trip though western Europe next May for 10 days. Not even considering it. I can't think of anything that would be closer to hell for me than to be stuck with 10 other people on a tour for 10 days. Too many people too close for too long. I have no desire to put myself through that and I am really not interesting in going regardless. I will wish them well on their trip.
Hearing fireworks going off outside. It is getting close to the Fourth and firework sales started a few days ago. Not doing a show and not really sure if I will ever do another show. Might set up some sparklers this forth and light those remotely for my own private show. Was kind of fun to do last year. Don't want to use too many of my firewires though. Can still get them but not cheap.
Gold pretty much is staying put in the upper quarter of $1700 and ounce. Crude looks like it set another 52 week high today to add one more to its upward movement and continuing new 52 week highs.
No junk calls today but those are really rare on Sunday anyway. Didn't pay any bills nor have I had a lap cat today.
I did win my Houston Museum of Natural Science Auction. Last minute bidding drove the price up but my maximum bid was still good. Probably paid too much again. An amber necklace. Odd that I only got an email about it with only a day or so left in the auction. Makes my fourth auction that I have won. Don't see an email notice about it but it is probably on my phone in a text message.
Still hoping to see the next launch of the Falcon 9 on the 26th. Not much watchable after that for awhile.
Viewing pleasure today was my Netflix series, YouTube videos and finishing a movie.
Put up the dishes today for house work. Nothing else that I can think off.
Only cut a base for my latest light sequencer project and drilled holes to support the lap shade on my emergency lights. Woodworking.
Finished my latest light sequencer project and laid out the LED's for my binary clock. Still got to drill for two more LED's. Should just do that tonight. I can populate the board after that. Project work.
Since it should be cool in the shop tomorrow going to try to work on my wheel wells.
Got to sort out the shop and put up the car. Got to put it on charge. Don't want to go out for a drive tonight. Not felling as depressed tonight. Some improvement.
Listened to a little bit of Ashley's latest Podcast.
Just about always ready to put another one in the books. Maybe some rain relaxing and listening tomorrow.
Not sure which incense I burned today. I think it was Dragon's Blood though.
Wish I could find some more candle glasses like the ones I have. Got them at then Garden Ridge Pottery. Must have been surplus. I haven't been able to find them since then.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
