Rain early this morning.
Jun. 22nd, 2021 10:02 pmThe thunder did wake me up early this morning but evidently it didn't bring just a lot of rain with it, The ground today was mostly still dry so must not have been associated with a lot of rain. We did get a bit more just here in the past hour or so but really just got the concrete wet enough to see that it had rained a little. Had a very high chance of rain today also. I guess it was right but somehow a high chance of rain doesn't translated into a lot of rain. Just nothing really impressive as far as rain chances go for the rest of the forecast. Mostly just for the type of scattered showers that popup around here. Temperatures thought seem to be holding in the lower 90's which is a good thing. Outside here tonight it is 80°f with 100% humidity which generally means it just rained or getting some very light rain. At the airport the temperature officially is 82°F with 81% humidity. Something in the tropics but isn't expected to develop. High winds aloft. Probably what is carrying all the Saharan dust here.
Got my Cat 6 cables in today and got the right cable. Should have given that other company a bad review but once you return their items you can't give them a review. Should have done that before returning them. Won't order anything else from them. Trying to pass off Cat 5E cables and Cat 6 and hoping no one noticed.
Nothing else to report as far as deliveries. I see the some of my Home Depot orders have shipped. Not really paying that much attention to them. Don't know how they can make so many shipments for free. Up to them I guess to do the shipping. Might get my connectors in tomorrow. They made quite the round trip. Getting misdirected. Hopefully I get them tomorrow. Will be late. Want to finish that one project and need those. Nothing else I see based on tracking. Ordered some tricolor LED's late last night after finishing my entry. Got some projects in mind for those.
For housework today I did kitchen duty, cleaned up after some of my projects and that was about it. I did do some sorting of my miscellaneous parts bin. I am also going to put out my trash bin tonight. Getting heavy.
No wood working today. Did back the car out. I guess I did drill some holes some maybe that should count as woodworking except it was MDF.
For project work I reconnected my three battery towers and will just use them as a stationary power source on my mad scientist work bench. I will use my 16 volt battery packs for mobile use. Much easier to move and use. Those will power my light towers nicely. I did some work on my latest LED project. got the LED's installed and did some soldering on the circuit board.
The gold and silver chart look funny. Don't know what that means. Crude set another 52 week high today. Don't know why it is continuing to go up. Don't think demand is up or supply is down. Google says there is strong demand and OPEC has cut production.
No bills paid today. No lap cat as of yet. Today's incense burn was Dragon's Blood.
For viewing pleasure today I watched YouTube videos and my Netflix series.
My lawn company came early this morning to mow my lawn. Still the landscaper hasn't made an appearance. Waiting. Hopefully soon.
Need to start my TinkerCAD lessons. Maybe tomorrow. Lever my 3D printer and get started making something.
June 25th. Falcon 9 set to launch. Getting close.
Firework stands should be opening soon. June 24th. Don't plan on buying any. Wonder if the Kroger parking lot will be the place on the 4th of July. Might go and sit in my car a long way away. I won't make the mistake of getting as close as I did the last time.
Going to see what scraps of 3/4" Plywood I have. Want to start making the wheel housings. Don't have wheels yet though. Going to be generic for now. Just ordered some cheap wheels. Should work. I hope. Not going very far or fast so don't need much.
Thinking I got at least one junk call today. The same scam as always. They tend to blend together over the days.
Don't think I am going out for a drive. Just need to put the car up.
I think that is going to do it for tonight.
