Warmer today and no rain.

Warm outside tonight. My outside temperature gauge says it is 81°F with 82% humidity. A warm and humid night. Checking at the airport the official temperature is 79° and 88% humidity. Not going to cool off much tomorrow even though we might get some rain starting in the morning and lasting until just about mid afternoon. Don't really see anything too impressive as far as rain chance in the forecast. Definitely going to be warm enough for air conditioner weather. Probably going to end my oil lamp night light tomorrow. Just don't want to add to the air conditioning load and I also need to fix the gap in my attic door. Pretty big. And losing cold air out of it and hot air in. Got to find the problem and fix it.

Didn't do anything for project work today.

Didn't do really anything for woodworking today either. I did trim down a shelf to make it fit. Not my usual intense woodworking. Glad because it gets warm early and humid now. Moved the old chest of drawers to the curb to see if anyone wants it. If not gone by bed time I will bring it back into the garage as it might rain.

For housework I cleaned up the kitchen, sorted, folded and put away a load of whites. I finish moving all the furniture and drawer contents between my old dresser and the new one. Went through my mail and put the remnants in to recycle. Finished my taxes with the necessary check writing and sealed the envelope. They are ready now to go to the IRS. Be done with them for another year except for the quarterly payments I now have to make. Did some more work in the shop to clean that up a bit. Rearranged some shelves to fit better.

Decided what my next woodworking project is going to be. I am going to build a copy of my current office chair since I can't seem to find one I like anywhere. I will just build one. Not going to use springs but have a bottom cushion. The springs always seem to break. I might be able to modify this one. Going to take some of the upholstery off tomorrow and remove the thousands of staples to see what it looks like. I might just make this one work again with some minor changes. Some things I don't like about it though that I will change if I build one. This one is comfortable and I am able to sit all in this one and that is what I want in a chair.

Not at all an eBay day. Just ordered my two items so none was expected in today. I did order another Gold Back. Kind of an impulse purchase. They do look really nice and they are gold. I think I have decided on which ultra short throw laser projector I am going to buy. Just have to pull the switch now.

Don't know when I am going to get paid this month. Never seems to be on the same day and was quite late last month.

No lawn company today. If they don't come tomorrow I guess I am just going to have to break down and call them on Wednesday and see why they haven't come.

My Greenlawn guy came today. Fertilizer.

Looks like the Falcon 9 launch is still on for tomorrow. Just checked with SpaceX. Hopefully no scrub or postponement. More StarLink.

Gold is holding in the upper quarter of $1700 an ounce. Crude again is moving up towards its 52 week high. A good bit closer now.

Got the new sticker in from Ashley along with a nice note.

Started a new HEB delivery order last night. Going to add a little at a time. Been getting really close on freezer space. So far I have managed. Need to find something to do with the cut okra. Might try to bread it with some shake and bake and see how well that works.

Going to try my hand at actually making some fried okra. Ordered powdered eggs and corn meal. Still going to try the shake and bake too. Got so much of it. Don't want to just dump it down the garbage disposal. Can't really use fresh ingredients. They would go to waste. Extra work though.

Just checked my black pepper. Dated January of 77. I think it might be just a bit too old. Decided time to order more. Don't use much so just got a small bottle. My flour is still good. Salt never goes bad.

Going to bring in my dresser if it still out there. Might rain early in the morning and I don't want to ruin it.

I think that is going to do it for tonight.

Well, yes. It did. I think I felt one drop of rain and saw a few more on my car windshield. Don't think we got much more than that but it does count as rain. Today had a decent chance of rain fall too but if it did get more than that it was overnight. Don't see anything that looks much over the standard chance of rain in the forecast. Never know though. May has been known to being floods to this area. One thing for sure is the temperatures are going up. Still going to drop into the 60's overnight for the next several nights but it looks like after that temperatures are going to stay in the 70's. Summer will be here soon enough.

Nothing happening as far as eBay today. No orders or no deliveries. Looks like the soonest I might get something in is this Thursday and then possible on Friday too. Still have my Gold Backs order out too. Not sure when that will get here as I haven't seen a notice that they have shipped it yet. Going to be kind of slow as far as orders go. I seem to be in a lull as far as project either in woodworking or otherwise for the moment.

Being hearing and seeing the phrase all day of May the fourth be with you. So today is May the fourth.

Nothing really in the way of project work today. I think what I did should be classed as housework.

For housework today I vacuumed the master bedroom. Didn't do my usual kitchen duty today. Do that tomorrow. Cleaned just a bit in the bathroom Started working on the project table and got a good bit of it sorted and organized. Still have a bit more left on it before it is back in shape. It was truly a mess. After that I can start some project work. Did do the charge yesterday. Got all of my fireflies recharged. Haven't put them back yet though.

For woodworking I did do some. I glued up two blanks to make the legs for my new chair project. I finally aligned the bed extension for my lathe and got it working. Now I can actually turn long items without having to piece them together. Think I am going to make a new computer desk with single piece legs. This desk is rather simple and really what took all the time was getting the legs long enough by piecing them together. Was a long and time consuming effort. Have to order one of those 10 board foot packages. I think that should be enough to make a new desk. If the quality of wood is the same as the poplar that they sent me I won't have any problems with it. I did turn one of the legs and will probably turn one more tomorrow. Also I want to cut the base out for my new radio project just to get an idea of what I have to work with.

Watched the launch of the Falcon 9 today on a Star Link mission. Just as perfect as all of their launched seem to be. Recovered the Booster. Looks so easy for them. But hard work I am sure makes it look that way. Doesn't look like anything watchable for quite awhile. Will keep an eye on the schedule and report the next one I see that I can watch.

Got to sort out the shop tonight. No one wanted my old chest or drawers last night. Don't want to put it out tonight. Might get picked up by the trash tomorrow. Will put it out tomorrow night with a Free sign on it and see if anyone will pick it up.

The lawn company finally came today. Didn't take them long. Was really beginning to worry that I might have to find another lawn company. Very unusually for them not to be consistent. Don't have to worry now for another week.

Gold and crude traded today. Gold is holding in the upper quarter of $1700 an ounce. Crude made a nice move and is getting quite close to its 52 week high. Might see an new one see if it keeps this movement going.

Need to pay an online bill. Going to do that now. That is done. Paid GreenLawn. Paperless. Except for my lawn company I think all except for my major bills are paperless now. Just less to file at the end of the year.

Don't think I got paid today. Should check but will take a look during my usual check tomorrow. Never really know when I am going to get paid.

Twist was a brief lap cat today.

Think I will take a pause and do some shop straightening. Don't know if I am taking the car for a drive tonight.

Got the shop sorted. Still don't know if I will go out for a drive or not. Don't really feel like it.

Would like to find a source of rough cut lumber again. Use to buy it. Could never find the place again but bought quite a bit. Down to my last rough cut board.
