No odd rain today.
Apr. 20th, 2021 10:31 pmI don't think we got any strange partly cloudy skies rain today but I wasn't outside in the open much of any today. I spent most of it in the shop or indoors. Well the rain chance for Friday has grown to almost certainty and that looks like it it is the end of the non-airconditioner weather too. Temperatures look like they are going to be in the 80's after that. Managed to make it through today with no air conditioning and will probably make it to saturday with no air conditioning. After that probably not. Well, it had to get here sooner of later and is probably going to be the end of my oil lamp night light and my candles unless I light them late at night. My outside Temperature gauge shows it to be about 67°F and 52% humidity. Officially it is 67°F and 57% humidity. Got a few more days of good shop weather and then a free of decent shop weather but going to get to a non shop weather soon enough. Got to finish up major projects out there.
Order another item from eBay today but didn't get anything delivered. I ordered some more Purell as my supply is starting to get low. Now to account for everything that did come in. Got my complete order from Costco so that is clear. I got my project panels, my oak plank and my paint. I still have my kerosene yet to be delivered from Home Depot and my drawer pulls to be delivered from Lowes. I have five items I am waiting on from eBay. Thought there for a day or so I would clear up all my orders but it looks like it is going to take a while longer.
Day fourteen of my minor surgery. My day to get my stitches was changed to tomorrow and today they changed the time to 11:00. Hopefully I can get these things gone and long with the itching too. Going to have to wait in breakfast until I get back. Shouldn't take long at all to get them remove.
For housework today I did some vacuuming in the spare bedrooms and I finished putting all the fittings on the transfer switch. It is now essentially ready to install. I have all the mounting bolts in place and all I have to do is mount it, take out the one inch knockout and run the wire and wire it up. Probably take about an hour or so to finish it up. Still not sure just which circuits I am going to put on my transfer switch but definitely the central heat. Kitchen so I can run the refrigerator and lights for several rooms. Going to be kind of limited by generator capacity. Probably can't run the refrigerator and start the central heat. But I think I am going to get a bigger generator and possible run both of them if I need too. Got to make up a cable to connect my generator to the transfer switch. Or just buy one. Easier.
For project work I finished my buss bar for my new solar charge controller. Might install it tomorrow and actually get my charge controller working.
Just took a break from writing and sorted out the shop. Got that done but haven't put the car up. Probably won't go out for a drive tonight. Do need to put it on charge.
No junk calls today.
Viewing pleasure was just YouTube videos. No lap cats today.
Gold is staying in the upper quarter of $1700 an ounce. Crude retreated somewhat today. Backing even further away from its 52 week high.

The schedule for the next launch of the Falcon 9 is still holding on the 22nd. A crew mission. Real early in the morning here for it. Probably set my alarm for it since it is a rare crew mission launch.
For wood working today I finished the last piece of trim for the dresser and sanded the top. I have put wood filler in all the defect and will probably sand all that out tomorrow. I have started making the drawers. Not going to have enough material to finish them but I think I can make six of the eight. Spend a good bit of time getting my jig ready and aligned to cut the slots in the drawer fronts. Got that all worked out and cut the slots in four of the drawer fronts. Started working on the sides and alignment. Still work to do there. One of my boards I was going to use for a drawer front I think is too warped to use. Think I am going to have to get another one. Still have a lot to do on the drawers. Don't think I am going to finish this week like I planned. Hopefully next week I can finish. Done for the season. Did four major project this season. Just about a record for me. I can just imagine what my house would look like if I had done this many major projects per season for the last forty years. My oak stash is essential gone. Just have strips of oak left over. Wish now I had bought all of that. I did by a lot and didn't think I would ever use it all.
Probably need to start another HEB Deliver order soon. About every two weeks and add items I don't want to forget. Won't need pop tarts. Got 48 of them from Costco and a ton of maple syrup too. More Tide and dish washer liquid. Should be good on them for a while to come.
Still have a load of whites I need to sort, fold and put up.
And I think that is going to do it for tonight.
