Pretty sure it didn't rain today.
Mar. 11th, 2021 10:26 pmDon't think it rain this morning. Or during the day. Really wouldn't have known about the rain yesterday other than for being in the right place at the right time. Sunday and Monday are looking like they have a good and then a decent chance of rain. Temperatures staying relatively high until Sunday when the temperature will drop and it is only about an 10 degree drop so it will still be warm. Doesn't look like we have any more "cold" in front of us. But it is the weather so things can and do change. Might be a lot of the same weather discussion after this Sunday. My outside temperature gauge says it is about 70°F with 93% humidity. Officially it is 70°F with 91% humidity.
Today was an eBay delivery day. Got two of my outstanding items in. I got my soy wax and my transfer switch. Odd but I think they came by two different FedX deliveries. Doesn't sound efficient but I think that is the case. Anyway got them. Didn't order anything from eBay but I did find a chair that I think will work as a new computer chair. It is too tall but that is what a table saw is made for. I can easily cut the legs down. Just have to be careful to get the orientation right when I cut them. My poor old chair now is probably at least 30 years old. Just about on its lest leg after surviving numerous spring fixing and multiple cats. Just happened to find it on Overstocked.com. Closest I have found to what I wanted so I ordered it. Don't know when it will get here. Got my Home Depot order at about 6:30 this morning and a phone call. Wasn't too happy about that. But I got my wood. Only have two items now outstanding from eBay. One might make it Monday and don't know when the one from China is going to get here.
Finally got the receipt from the state of Texas that my registration is paid and I am now legal to drive my car again. I have to keep the receipt in my car until I get my new sticker though. Thinking I will go for a drive tonight.
Did just a little housework today. I put most of my glasses into the dishwasher. Going to try to finish loading it tomorrow. And clean the kitchen.
Just a little project work. Did some small work on my battery modules. Waiting until my wire splicers get here. Just about covers all I did today. Doesn't sound like much so I guess this was mostly a lazy day. Not sure really what I did all day.
Did do some wood working. I started on the top to my box and got it all put together. Still have some sanding and then some how I need to fit the top to the box.
Tomorrow is cheese sandwich day. Still have whole wheat bread for it that I need to thaw but the microwave does a good job of that. I am set with everything else. Really need to put some in my HEB delivery order. Might work on that a bit tonight.
Watched more episodes of the Curse of Oak Island today. I think about two episodes. Mixed in YouTube episodes too. Also was awake last night or rather really early this morning to watch the launch of the Falcon 9. Another perfect launch and recovery. They always make it look so easy. Would like to see one in person. A night launch must really be spectacular. Another one is scheduled to launch on the 14th.
Today is March 11th. Days.
No junk calls today. Odd to get a day in the middle of the week and not get any junk calls.
Twist was a lap cat twice today. Just gets in my lap and is out cold. Doesn't move.
Gold seems to now be trading pretty consistently in the lower quarter of $1700 an ounce. Crude has backed away from its 52 week high but really not by much.
As always on a Thursday I am going to have to check after midnight and see if it is a premium channel free preview weekend. Still occasionally get those.
Need to get a hammer drill to install my transfer switch. That should be the hardest part. Need to make a drilling template. And get some concrete anchors too. Have to order about 100 of them and probably only really need four. But I will have them. Once mounted the wiring is really easy. I have to get a cord to connect my generator to the box though. It isn't supplied with one. And most of them only came with a 10ft cord and wouldn't be far enough away from my neighbors windows to be safe.
Might finish my soy wax candles tomorrow. I think I am to try the cherry scent.
Got the shop sorted from my minimal wood working and ready for the car.
Was windy today. Lots of noise from the leaves. Kind of relaxing actually.
