As forecast it did rain today.
Jun. 3rd, 2020 10:52 pmGot a nice rain today which was heavy at times. I decided it was a perfect time to load up my company computer, connect it to my car's Wi-fi and drive to a nearby park just to be outside for a while. Nice just to watch it rain and be on the computer at the same time. Not much more on the rain front until Saturday and Sunday. Looks like it is going to have a couple of warm days next week.
Cristobal is still in the far southern gulf just wondering around at the time. The National Hurricane Center shows that on Friday it will turn north and begin a rapid movement across the gulf arriving probably in Louisiana on Sunday. The spaghetti models all pretty much agree that is where it is going but don't really agree on how it is going to get there. Gary says it is a fast moving storm and is not going to be anything like Allison or Harvey. And we will be on the dry side of it maybe far enough away not to see much of anything but still to early to count this one out.
No cat wanted to be a lap cat today. Not even when I was sitting in my office chair which has been one of their favorite places.
Todays incense burn was Jasmine. Still need to order a lot more variety of Gonesh Sticks. My supply is dwindling but I still have plenty left. Do like the smell of incence.
Just stumbled across a scheduled launch tonight of the Falcon 9 rocket on a Starlink Mission. Told my friend who likes to watch that stuff and watched the launch myself. Successful all the way around. Launch, first stage recovery and Starlink deployment. Fun to watch those. Usually even with advanced notice I forget about them.
More packages from eBay today. And a surprise package. In my old flip phone for something, something, reasons according to technical support my simm card stop working. I still really don't know why. I don't really see how it could go bad. I guess something changed in their network. But anyway it was dead. So no working cell phone. They said they would send me a new one. Didn't think them meant they would overnight it but it showed up today. Great service. I actually had another phone. Just thought I could plug it in but No, not the case. Technical support helped and showed my how I could actually activate it myself. So with their guidance I did!! And it worked. I didn't really know how much I depended on it. I get text messages from varies institution and the kind of rare call from someone. So all is good now.
Did clean up the kitchen today. My major accomplishment. Not much in the way of project work though. I did make my trip to the park though and also managed to get in my afternoon tea.
Really need to put together another HEB delivery but with the short delivery time now I can almost do that the day before. Should have some more packages from eBay tomorrow.
Paid some bills tonight. I think I am all caught up. Probably really need to convert to paperless billing as much as I can.
Watched more of The Last Kingdom tonight. No word on when my next movie from Netflix is going to arrive. Just checked with them and they say tomorrow. They are almost always right about these things.
Probably have to put my trash bin out this Saturday and I will have a bin full of plastic to recycle also.
That is going to do it for tonight.
