It did not rain today.
Jun. 1st, 2020 10:47 pmNo rain here today although according to radar parts of Texas did get rain. A quick check of the 10 day forecast shows no decent chance of rain until Sunday but the weather is very fluid which is always the case here. Always seems to be that afternoon thunder shower.
Text exchange with Gary about the strange goings on at work and of course about where that tropical depression that formed in southern gulf is going. Basically it is much to early to know but he thinks it might be another Allison. But won't be here until sometime next week if it comes at all.
Odd change at work. Basically everyone has disappeared from the floor plan except for a very few people. Might just reflect that everyone is now more than likely working from home. So I don't know. Of course I have disappeared from the floor plan too. I haven't been in the office in probably close to a year now. I guess at some point I will have to turn in my computer but I am not certain they would even want it. It is a Windows 7 machine so I doubt they are buying any more machines with that operating system. But they probably have an ample supply of those machines if they ever needed more. They are decent computers but of course they have an administrative password on them so we can't make changes. They do have Google Chrome installed and since they are not on the company network we can use them for any kind of web use. It is probably against company policy though.
Finally put up my laundry today and hung up all of my t-shirt that I have collected. Didn't really do anything in the way of projects today. Just kind of made it a lazy day. I have a few things in mind. One is kind of an art project. Kind of not in my nature but I thought I might try it.
No real lap cat today. Twist kind of half laid there but settle for curling up next to me. And tonight incense selection was lavender. Tonight's viewing pleasure was Fast and Loud. I screwed up my DVR by changing power supplies and it didn't reset. Plus somehow I kind of unplugged it too. So Barnwood Builders didn't make it last night. I have another movie on the way from Netflix. I mailed the other one back. Watched some more of the Last Kingdom.
Still enjoying the use I am getting out my Linux operating system computer. I converted a Windows 7 machine to that as I no longer wanted to risk connecting it to the internet since it is no longer supported. It came with Chromium which really won't handle Netflix but it was a simple matter to load Chrome on to it.
More fun with eBay. It can be like a drug. Just so easy to buy anything on a whim.
Got to start thinking about my next HEB delivery. Did get some tea bags this last time and can continue with my mid afternoon tea break.
Lawn company came today. And the mosquito treatment seems to be working. Haven't notice any coming in when I open the doors. I think they use to just hang out there waiting.
Thinking about the potential Allison version II that might be coming next week. We got like 10 inches of rain in just a few hours but other parts of the area got 30 inches of rain. I just have to keep my car charge and that should take care of my travel needs. I don't know if I can turn my car charge rate to keep it below the capacity of my inverter on my solar system. Right now how my car is set to charge would push it right to the edge. Looks like it has only two setting at the upper one is definitely more than my inverter can handle. My system only makes at the most 400 watts. Well, I could do some re-configuring to get more out of it but overall it really would make much difference. I have some oldish gasoline. Probably still good that I could run my generator. Gary's power was out for five weeks.
Still plenty far away but it just needs to be watched. Hurricane season just started officially today. And already we are probably going to have a tropical storm. The spaghetti models are tending to send it more towards Louisiana but really too early for much.
That is going to be it for tonight.
